Former Channel 10 Anchor Ralph Penza Dies

What a useless, impersonal obit from NBC10. Obviously written by a 20-year-old intern. "His family said he had been sick for a long time." No crap!

I recall Ralph's co-anchor for at least part of his time at 10 being Joan Dinerstein. Whatever happened to her?

What do you expect from a station that from what I have seen has a bunch of rejects and a guy who liked to pretend to be an ATF agent when in New York who when all combined don't even have a fraction of Ralph Penza's talent.

Take a look at WNBC's coverage:

Chuck Scarborough did a nice video tribute to him, which was on air and is online.
WNBC got the news of his death that afternoon, and they did a nice peice on his work.
Gabe Pressman wrote a nice peice about Ralph, too: http://www.wnbc.com/news/11037117/detail.html
