It has been a little over a year since Citadel was purchased by Cumulus. The change in music wasn't that noticable at first, but in recent months their playlists are becoming increasingly conversative. Citadel stations were among some of the more unique stations in the country and were not afraid to take chances with their adds. There was a time when it was quite common for Citadel stations (KKOB, KLAL, WPRO, WSSX, KHOP come to mind) to put songs in medium to power rotations that weren't top 30 on the CHR/Pop chart. Now these stations won't even touch pop/rock titles such as the current Neon Trees and Grouplove tracks because Jan Jeffries says so.
I could easily see "Everybody Talks", "Tongue Tied" or "I Won't Give Up" being played 30+ times a week on at least some of these stations if they were still owned by Citadel.
