Former Atlanta weekend news anchor Kathy Murphy is suing Meredith's WGCL-46-CBS.


We don't know why.


But yesterday, we were slapped with a subpoena from Meredith's high-priced Atlanta lawyers demanding "any and all records" relating to Murphy.

Kathy Murphy was one of the worse reporters/anchors WGCL ever had. She anchored along side Todd Shearer on the weekends when Andrea Ancenaux left. Then when Todd got the boot, she was solo. When the brain-trust at WGCL decided to do a weekend morning show, she was anchor. Kathy was let go when the station axed many employees from the news and production departments in March of 2005, and dumped the am show.
