Former KDFW meterologist condemns global warming activists

James Spann, former meterologist at KDFW Channel 4, has issued a response to the recent statements by Dr. Heidi Cullen, who is the global warming analyst at the Weather Channel. In a December blog post, Cullen appeared to challenged the AMS to revoke its credentials from members that challenged the scientific consesus concerning global warming and its manmade origins.

Dr. Cullen should be ashamed of herself for trying to stifle debate on a scientific issue. Mr. Spann is my new hero.

I think the Weather Channel should fire Dr. Cullen and hire Mr. Spann.

The science of weather is that there isn't a science. Just as there isn't any real proof of global warming. Just look at the recent winter event. Go back five, ten, fifteen, or more years and you'll see the same event repeating itself. The Weather Channel needs to get out of bed with government leaders and just stick to forecasting the weather.
