Former KTRK Weather Girl Admits She Lied About Attacks

Heidi Jones, who once worked at KTRK Ch 13 in Houston, has finally confessed that she lied when she told NYC police that she had been assaulted twice by the same man last year.

Jones told the judge she made it all up to get attention.

What for?? Was it worth all the trouble? Why are some people so needy of attention? Now she looks like an idiot because she got caught, no one believed her in the first place. She'll probably never work in TV again

I'll take some of that action. I think she'll turn up somewhere. Somebody out there in one of the medium or small markets will take pity on her and give her another chance. But I do agree that, barring a miracle, no major market station will hire her -- at least not any time soon.

But, we could both be wrong. TV is a strange and often unpredictable world. She could turn up on a major market station in some other part of the country next week.

Even worse than that....should, God forbid, it ACTUALLY happen to her, the prosecution of the suspects would be almost impossible given her history. She needs medical help, not another job.

Hey, if Alycia Lane can get into as much trouble as she did in Philadelphia and end up landing on her feet in a larger (!) market in Los Angeles, the sky's the limit for Heidi Jones - and New York is market No. 1!
