Anyone remember their names? There were two of them that were prominent, covering Longview and East Texas in 1986-1987 before the Longview area got separated into its own market (with the addition of then KLMG-TV 51).

IIRC, John Gordon was at KTBS-3 and covered the Marshall/Longview area. Was he one you to whom you were referencing?

Thanks for the response.
It could be. The name doesn't ring any bells.

I used to work at a competing station at the time.
I recall one of them perhaps getting into some trouble by making a source mad, and losing his job.

I believe Lorri Vaughter was the Longview reporter for KTAL before she joined KLTV.
Thanks for bringing up her name.
I recall working/ competing with another female reporter who worked for KLTV when I was at KLMG in 1987 or so.
I want to say she lived in Longview but worked in Tyler.
I recall her as an attractive brunette.
The pics of found of her online, she looks a little different than I recall.

This may not be the woman I'm thinking of.

What years did she work for KLTV?

Is there any listing of former KLTV reporters-anchors anywhere?

Here's a partial list of KLMG-51 from that era.

For some reason, old memories got stirred up in my head. I'm suddenly recalling most of the people I worked with.

Thanks for your help.

I wanted to edit my original response, but it's not allowing me to modify the message.

I think that was Lorri, the woman I was thinking about. What a beautiful woman.

Looks like she's made something of her life as well apart from TV news.

I really wish I had stayed in Longview longer.

Trouble is, a month or so after I left, for Wichita Falls, the station went under and closed its news department. :p
