A few weeks back Walt Sabo was officially hired at the Chief Operation Officer for the new company that is buying WRXP in New York and two Chicago FMs, Merlin Media. That new company has much bigger plans than just owning three radio stations, it plans to be a major player in the overall US radio business.

Despite all the speculation on this board that "MedianJ" is Walt Sabo, for those who don't get the joke, the one thing you can be positively sure of is that Walt Sabo is NOT MedianJ.
I don't know Sabo personally, but we have friends in common, and I have known him by reputation since the 1970s.
He is a big time consultant, who has had major jobs with major broadcasting companies for decades.
While NJ-101.5 was one of his notable successes, he has been busy with other major consulting gigs in recent years. He has always been too much of a major league player and class guy to lobby for a consulting gig by bad mouthing one of his former clients on an internet discussion board.
Check out his bio and website, if you haven't seen it before.

As far as Walt Sabo and NJ-101.5 go, he has long since moved on, and with his new COO gig at Merlin he will not have the time, nor would he want to consult a competitor.
