Former Owner WPGA TV Lowell Register Arrested for Burglary

Macon drama...
The infamous Lowell Register, longtime owner of WPGA AM/TV/WNEX Perry, has been arrested and charged with burglary.

The FCC considers the former WNEX, now WDDO, now licensed to Creek Media. If the charges are true, Mr. Register may be looking at Federal charges for tampering with a licensed radio facility which could lead to time in prison!

Any of you from Macon have any thoughts?
 
What is Mr. Register's beef? I understand he thinks the station's sale was illegal, but what exactly is his rationale as to why he thinks he still owns the station?

I mean, he got bent out of shape and disaffiliated with ABC, losing ad revenue in the process, he didn't/couldn't pay taxes, got mired in debt, defaulted, and lost his station (and probably a good chunk of his life's work). That sucks, but should have been expected! As a business in debt, you are slave to the lenders!

I bet he regrets pulling ABC from WPGA-TV now...

This can't be good for him. IIRC, he got busted for taking the FM off air last year. I think it was just screwing with equipment...not taking it, so criminal charges really weren't in order. At his age, any significant felony jail time will likely be a life sentence.

Lowell is turning into one of those "colorful" broadcasters.

He admitted that he took stuff over the weekend (OK, He hid it). Getting caught with a drill at the tx door lock, thats some class.
