Former radio guy looking for work in Vegas

Hello all,

I realize this is a forum to discuss the state of Las Vegas radio, but I am looking to relocate to Vegas and am in need of a job (whether it is in radio or not). I've spent the last 8 years working in programming for a number of stations in Seattle, but like I said I would be grateful to get my hands on anything as long as it allows me to pay the bills after I relocate.

If there is anyone that frequents these boards and is looking to fill a position or knows of anyone looking to hire, i would greatly appreciate your help. If you send me a message, I will be happy to forward my resume.

Thank you all for your time.

What brings you to Vegas?

Because I hear the crime rate is low and it is a great place to raise a family! :D

I'm looking to move there because I'd like to eventually pursue a dealer position or one with a race/sportsbook on the strip.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my original post.

Life's tough in Vegas. Few things are what you'd expect them to be. Unemployment is higher in Vegas right now than most places. If you have found that your local radio station doesn't quite give you your fill of hard luck stories and degenerates, than Vegas is definitely for you!

It's an absolutlely terrible place to raise a child. We are ranked last or near-last in education and in every category that relates to caring for children. Our dropout rate is very high because the mindset is that you don't have to graduate in order to make big bucks dealing craps. Good luck fighting that mindset.

Thanks for the post, but I don't have any kids. Just a dorky radio guy trying to be funny. I am a single guy just looking for an opportunity there.

Take care.

One thing is for sure, you'll have a blast as a single guy here in Vegas!
