Former "Rover" Producer Rob, or Grieving Girlfriend Sarah: Whose Side Are You On?
Last year, Rover's producer Rob left Cleveland to take a similar position at Mike Calta's show in Tampa, which at that point had just moved to mornings. Shortly after, his girlfriend, Sarah, and her two children, including a 6-week-old daughter, were injured crossing a street; the daughter would die a couple of days later. Upon hearing of this tragedy, Rover set up a GoFundMe account for medical expenses; to date, it is approaching $55,000 (even though it is not accepting new donations, there are still a few monthlies that trickle through). Calta also set up a fund for this cause; it is said to have amassed $10,000.
So this Tuesday, a tearful Sarah appeared on Rover's show to explain how, upon being discharged from the hospital, she discovered Rob had effectively dumped her. Per the caption from the page: "There is a bitter dispute with Rob over the $50,000 from the GoFundMe donation account setup by Rover":

Fast forward to this morning, when Sarah appeared with her beau on the program he produces, The Mike Calta Show. They apparently took a stance that things she said in the interview with Rover had been misconstrued:

I'll add that Bubba The Love Sponge, who had been displaced (wrongly IMHO) by Calta last fall and has returned to the Tampa market to compete with his show, had played excerpts of the Rover interview. So what exactly was the motive behind the Rob/Sarah chummy-chummy chat with Calta, three days removed from Sarah's cryfest? For someone (Calta, maybe Cox Media Group) to save face?
