Looks like he's missing his teeth.
This is a case of the media creating the news.
More a case of a "celebrity" creating news. The reason the media reports it is because people in NYC know who he is.
As do people in Washington, D.C.
The point is that his fame was largely limited to a portion of the I-95 corridor, but since so many of the decision-makers in the news media live and work in that small section of the country, their myopic view of America is reflected in what and whom they choose to cover. Why do you think the people at NYC-based Sirius made Bruce Morrow the face and voice of their '60s channel? Because they couldn't conceive of anyone anywhere in America -- or at least anywhere in America that matters -- not knowing who Cousin Brucie was or recognizing him as the ultimate '60s DJ. Sirius was also the "national" radio company that created "Client Nine Radio," a 24/7 channel covering the tawdry affair of Eliot Spitzer, as if his downfall meant beans to anyone outside the state.
Sometimes Big Media's NY myopia works -- TV's "The Dick Van Dyke Show," "All In the Family," "Seinfeld" were all set in or around the city -- but the idea that all NYC media personalities are somehow national celebrities is something that needs to be addressed, IMO.

According to this report Warner Wolf apparently destroyed the sign because he saw the sign as racist "Plantation".

Well, not totally within the I-95 corridor—besides Imus, he was also a regular on The Today Show, with a monthly (weekly?) sports blooper segment. The point is that his fame was largely limited to a portion of the I-95 corridor
Has Mr. Wolf also tried to remove the letters from signage pertaining to the city of Plantation, Florida? I wonder whether he regards the name Plymouth Plantation to be racist.

Whoops, crap, you are right! That was Len BermanWell, not totally within the I-95 corridor—besides Imus, he was also a regular on The Today Show, with a monthly (weekly?) sports blooper segment.
Now the charges have been dropped against Wolf.
“My attorney, Shannon Mcfee, called me last night and said the prosecutor had decided to have the charge dismissed. Criminal mischief,” Wolf says.
“I gave them $1,100 [for the damages] ... I was in jail for 4 hours. It wasn’t fun.”
But he does say it was “worth it.”
He and his somewhat disinfected Beltway accent were always fun.
