That's very cool that he decided to not hide it anymore. It must have been a tough move to make. That's awesome. I wish him well!
 
A difficult situation but there's med's available now that didn't exist in the 60's when his father had similar problems.
A good MD can get him back in the game with a period of trials with various stuff probably beginning with Lithium to start. Good luck to Ken.
