Former WDJX promo director pleads guilty

I'm a former major market radio and TV host that still hosts the MDA telethon in a top ten market. I do it because my mother had ALS... frankly; I'm surprised it took so long for this scam artist to be revealed. First, the average age of ALS onset is about 60 (he's 37). And I don't know how long he'd been perpetrating the scam, but not to show any signs of the disease is unusual. Word to the wise: before you give to any charity - make certain that they have their 501C qualifications. ALS is an insidious disease that rips families lives a part... to have a sleaze ball like this gain from others compassion is heinous.

Heinous is a good word. So is despicable and evil. We in radio are looked upon anymore as just one step above the lawyer rung and[EDIT] like this character aren't helping. I've followed this story with shocked horror all the while putting in silly hours working for causes that are SO worthy. Gotta figure there's a special chair on the 6th level of Hell for critters like this fool. Don't let it faze any of you - keep using your station for the many deserving causes you support and keep alive.

[EDIT-profanity]

Thanks for the heads up bass and thanks for the link chase. As much great work as radio does in every community to have an [EDIT] do this crap is pathetic. Normally I'm one to preach forgiveness but maybe fair treatment would be to have him injected with ALS while in the pen. This was no mistake or unfortunate grouping of circumstances. Bass is right, keep doing great things in your community despite this low life.

I think the edits are automated...but we all know what you meant...
and agree with you. What a waste of human skin on a perfectly good skeleton.
Hopefully he'll make some new "special" friends while behind bars. Pun intended.

Knowing Todd like many do, that won't be a problem for Todd, Romer.

True... it can't be that much of a punishment for him... at least he no longer has to "hide"
