FORMER WFZX 101.7 & WGUY 102.1 BEING SOLD OFF

Apparently Blueberry has too many stations under their belt and by FCC standards, you can only have so many to your name so they are going to be sold off, according to WVII Ch.7. 101.7 and 102.1 will be sold off to some company. Hopefully those frequencies can be turned into a CHR or modern rock format that they lost recently!!!! That would be in an ideal world.
But I couldn't see CHR on 102.1 with such a little signal....

I wouldn't call WGUY a "little signal"

http://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=WGUY&service=FM&status=L&hours=U

it's a full C2 from Dexter, putting the same signal into Waterville as Bangor, the problem with the southern/western end of its signal is 101.9 from Portland.

And if I were a betting man, 101.7 would be CHR before 102.1, as its always been Oldies (other than that Clear Channel experiment with smooth jazz a couple years ago). I do wish they'd dump the awful sounding satellite oldies format, although it sounds better on 101.7.

WGUY and WFZX both come in quite well here on Mount Desert Island, especially on the "Back Side" (Western side) I get them both with nearly local signal strength here in SW Harbor.
Once you get down-east past Schoodic Peninsula and into Washington County they get trashed by the Canadian stations from St.John/Fredericton NB (CBC Radio2 on 101.5 and CBC French on 102.3)

I think I was one of the VERY few people who liked WGUY when it was smooth jazz.

ya, i meant it was a small signal in regards to actually getting places like Hampden, Ellsworth and places south of Dexter.
I do hope CHR does come back to Bangor somehow, i know it will be different than what B97 was, i just hope it comes back in some way shape or form.
And what about modern rock? WTOS does serve the area pretty good, plus WKIT is rock...?
