Former WMJI Imaging Director and Lanigan producer Michael "Doc" Thompson gets the vacant PM drive slot at CC talker WRVA/Richmond

Since leaving WMJI Spring 2005 "Doc" has been Ops Manager for Magic Broadcasting/Dothan AL, and Program Director for American General Media FM talker KAGM/Albuquerque.

On air auditions were held for weeks at WRVA. "Doc" won out.

Good luck to Doc. I'd note that DCRTV's blurb on the move erroniously noted that he was a board operator at the same WRVA from 2003 to 2005. Kinda hard to physically be in two places at once, unless, of course, if cloning was secretly used on the longtime Lanigan & Malone board-op! ;)

He's once again working for the "Dark Side". WRVA is a good station, and a big stepping stone if all works out, both in the company, and out.

I'm sure his email will be docthompson at clearchannel.com or something like that.
