Former WPRO FM DJ's

I have noticed two former WPRO-FM dj are now working for WPLJ in New york City

Dave Stewart and David Simpson, also this is the same station that Rocky Allen who also worked at PRO-FM is working at. I used to listen to PRO-FM but I think the station has gotten worst, I think it has gone down hill in my opinion, . I think the current dj's are terrible.

Dave Stewart actually has a syndicated 90s retro show that runs on WSNE on Sunday nights I believe. David Simpson has been weekending at WPLJ since the mid-1990s or so. He started working there when he was working at WTIC-FM/Hartford. Simpson also did some weekending work at WBMX/Boston back in the late 1990s. One other PRO-FM alum that works at 'PLJ - Music Director Tony Mascaro.

thank you Scott for the additional information, I was very friendly with David Simpson when he worked at PRO-FM. I worked a lot of promotions with him
He was a very nice person to deal with.

I couldn't have agreed with you more about the station going down hill. I especially think the am show is awful.

I wonder if PRO-FM's going downhill is just a matter of this crew just too used to their jobs especially in a building where there is not a lot of pressure to raise the bar.I think Kerry Collins is a good addition but everything else is stale. If they had powerhouse ratings you could use that as justification but they don't.The morning show is too heavy on phones and many listeners come across as ditzes.A couple of months ago they devoted about 15 to 20 minutes to interviewing a new group called Click 5.Their first song mid charted and this waste of time was even before the song peaked.Who the hell wanted to hear what this group had to say?

And their main morning competition Coast is no better where I swear some of the phones are not listeners at all but staged calls made by people who are so obviously not Coast listeners.
