Former WROC-TV anchor Jerry Fiore dies at 88

Former WROC-TV (Channel 8) news anchor and reporter Jerry Fiore died over the weekend. He was 88.

Mr. Fiore died Sunday, according to his granddaughter Jillian Ducato. He had worked at several stations in New York, including Rochester's CBS affiliate, and in Florida during his broadcast career.

He worked at Rochester's CBS affiliate from 1990 through the early 2000s. Before that he spent nearly two decades as a journalist in his hometown of Utica followed by a decade in Tampa, Florida.

He was best known for his time at WROC-TV from the 1990's to the early 2000's.
