Former Yankee SS/broadcaster Phil Rizzuto dead at 89

Known to some for The Money Store commercials or his play by play on Meat
Loaf's Paradise by the Dashboard Light, and to many as a player and
broadcaster for the Yankees, Phil Rizzuto has passed on at 89.

A lot of people have forgotten about Scooter's 5 minute daily sports commentary that aired nationally on CBS radio in the late 60's and I think into the early 70's. The old CBS Radio Sports sounder and then "It's spawts time! I'm Phil Rizzuto in New York......". For those who were not living in the Northeast at the time, that was the first and only chance to hear him on the air. Will also remember his call of Roger Maris' 61st homer and his genuine excitement at the moment.
