Foronda resigns KHOU

Linda Lorelle will eventually show up again in the market. She wants to anchor and maybe she'll get the KHOU post. If she doesn't get it, look for her as an anchor at KRIV in the not-to-distant future.

I think KHOU is looking for TWO female anchors for Greg and Len. Shern-Min would be a good candidate to fill Lisa's chair when Lisa leaves 11 News. KHOU is leaving Deborah Duncan as is-Deb has a talk show on AM 740 KTRH, and they could be looking within the resources of Belo and CBS for some talent.

Deborah Duncan's KTRH show was canned a few months ago, for a talker out of San Antonio. But it was just recently announced that Rush Limbaugh would be taking over the time-slot, moving from KPRC-AM.

Anyway, Shern Min might be a good choice. She's steady and reliable at the desk on weekends. Maybe the suits on Allen Parkway will decide she's ready for primetime and bump her up.

I do not know anything about the Houston Market, but wish Deborah Duncan was still here in the DFW one.

Why is Deborah Duncan not being considered for the job? In Dallas, she was one of the best and, unfortunately, an always underutilized talent. She was kind of the Lester Holt of Dallas TV!

I liked Deborah Duncan a LOT when she was here in Dallas.

Anything is better than Gary Cogill on Good Morning Texas. He is SUCH a dork !!

Pompass, as well................

I think she would be good at the desk at night, but the Chron piece announcing her leaving said that the news director wants to leave the morning newscast alone, as it has seen a lot of growth (its #2 behind KTRK) since Duncan and Ron Trevino took the helm 3 years ago. Anymore, mornings are considered almost as, if not more important, than the evening newscasts, bringing in lots of ad money.
