Fort Bend Broadcasting: 15.6 KFTB-Sugarland

I noticed that KFTB is gone from 15.6 and in its place is a screensaver giving contact information to lease the station. After only 1 month KFTB is belly up. What happened? It had been hyped up quite a bit before it came on the air, and now...poof!

It was probably under-financed.

Probably so. It is one thing to go on the air and flop due to lack of viewers, but never really launching at all would point to a lack of investment capital.

The tightly focused LPTV programmers (such as the various ethnic broadcasters) seem to be doing better, or at least they are managing to hang on. The large Asian populations in the SW part of the market (near the transmitters) seem to be a good target.
