Media Matters: Coveted group loves that Bob

WJGO-FM, better known as Bob FM 102.9, is the big winner in Southwest Florida in the 25-54 age group coveted by advertisers.

Flipping from "Groovin'" to "Bob" was the best decision the station made. It has paid off. Not only that, it sounds better.

I myself had wondered why the station had held onto that "Jammin' Oldies" clone format long after the popularity of the format had died down nationwide. Obviously, they found a viable replacement, and fills a hole for listeners of the old 80's station The Point.
