Why is MediaWatch password protected and why can't any of my broadcast mates get passwords? I miss the old curmudgeon's manical and nonsensical rants. :)

Simply put, someone else wanted to cover media (among other things) in the Summit City, minus the maniacal and nonsensical rants. It was called Fort Wayne Media Notes.

This drove the MediaWatch "team" (if more than one person is involved I'd be shocked) batshit crazy. They started ten different blogs with ten different variations on the Fort Wayne Media Notes name and tried to claim they were the first ones to use it. They even went as far as to file for a copyright. MediaWatch then decided it wants to sue the Fort Wayne Media Notes blogger and hides their precious content behind a password in preparation for the lawsuit. Why they felt the need to hide the bullshit when everyone can clearly smell it is beyond me.

So far there's been no lawsuit, and no word on whether they got the copyright. The blogger changed his blog's name to Fort Wayne Observed in order to get them off his back about the whole thing.

If you ask me, the whole stunt by the MediaWatch "crew" is pretty childish and sad. Much like their rantings and ramblings.<P ID="signature">______________

Why hasn't MW reappeared? Last I asked, the "crew" got their jollies (what? It's Christmas!) from their manical and nonsensical rants being read, and from media folk passing them true/false scuttlebutt. Well, more butt than scuttle.
