Okay all you expert prognosticators...give us your predictions for the Fort Wayne numbers. Anybody want to give it a shot? Who's the big loser, who makes a move up, who is flat?

I don't see any major changes. I think either WOWO or K-105 will win the book.

I am betting that my old friends at K105 are back to #1.

K105 did well too.

Majic tanked.

Same ol', same ol'. Look for WOWO and K105 again. 107.9 keeps going down.

12+ up at R&R website

Just checked the R&R website (www.radioandrecords.com) and 12+ numbers are in. Oldies 101 grabbed a XXXXXXXXX.

Yep...WJFX is down to fourth in the market 12+. Still stronger than their other format competitors (by 1/3, 1/2 and 300 percent, respectively.) And still posters on this board dog them for Wild....hell, I've even seen people pushing the nearly dead B106 as a heir to the throne. When are you people gonna come to realize that they do a decent job on-air...and a hell of a job promotionally? Guess everyone guns for the big dog, huh.....

Tiny... you're right. I just guessed wrong. You won't see me personally extolling the virtues of B106 or Wild. 107.9 has found a niche in FWA that everybody else has failed, or is affraid to fill. I wouldn't call 107.9 "the big dog" but they have certainly provided programming to the MSA that nobody else has done, or replicated.

Now, when is somebody going to produce successfull programming (other than Bob & Tom) in FWA that appeals to 25 to 54's??!!!

What niche would that be? A majority of the music on Hot is exactly the same on Wild and even on B106 as for their rhythmic music.

If I were at Hot, I wouldn't be celebrating anything. I know for a fact that Hot was beaten by Wild in at least one demographic and that Wild grew by leaps and bounds while Hot saw VERY little growth (I'm talking tenths of points compared to Wild's growth which was in actual points). Hot has NOTHING to celebrate. Their days as "the official number one" are numbered... and they know it.

Oldies had a monster book. Whoever says that format is dead certainly doesn't have a clue. Congrats also to K105 for having another monster book.

Overall it was a great book in Fort Wayne. I wouldn't call this one "routine" or "predictable." I don't think anyone can argue that there weren't some surprises.
