Fort Wayyyne....

Big changes as Adams Radio Group picks up both the Summit City and Oasis clusters in Fort Wayne.

Spins 102.9 Huntington to Calvary Radio for their 103.3 FW translator and 106.3 C City to FW Catholic Radio for 1450 WLYV. Guessing new formats for both 1250 and 1450 with one of the AMs simulcasting on 103.3. Sorry to see ownership consolidate even more in FW...and to see two commercial FMs going non-com.

Growing up I always liked staring into 106.3's street front studio window facing the Whitley Country Court House on Main Street in Columbia City. My great grandfather ran a confectionery on that very site in the early 1900s. For a radio geek kid like me, that site later becoming a radio station was pretty cool.

I remember it too...it's a computer store now.
Then when 106.3 was moved it went to a site off US 30 (what it was before becoming a radio studio I have NO IDEA,) and now THAT facility is...
A used car lot. Bart's is the franchise. I drive by it all the time.
Now we've got 101.1 FM's studio on Frontage Road calling CC home but that station is dark. On occasion I see cars there.
And OF COURSE there's the high school station, where I break things occasionally...
