I have never heard someone say so many words to get across so little of information or thought.

Sure you have. Goon, may I direct you to KTCK and Bob Sturm ;D.

Seriously, he has a lot of insight, but man, learn the benefits of eliminating the run-on sentence. WHEW!

In the words of Donkey from Shrek fame, "You cut me. You cut me real deep just then." ;D ;D

I'm curious. You all seem authoritative on Dallas radio, what shows do you work on? Obviously you all are huge names in this market. Maybe you all are retired, but were very successful in the past? Yes? I doubt it. Fact of the matter is, most of you seem to be bitter wannabes who have been screwed by "corporate radio". I agree with some of the shows mentioned on this board are horrible, but I must know where all of your collective expertise comes from. If you just don't like a show, that's great. However, the critiques and breakdowns you all give are a joke. Your knowledge is laughable i.e. when Arbitron comes out and you get those 12+ numbers and really break those down. Only problem is, nobody really cares about 12+, that's why they are made public. So please, enlighten me with your vast experience and impressive resumes.

If you are so passionate about this issue, I would respectfully ask why your info has not been laid upon the table? You seem quite free with the criticism--of those you openly admit you haven't a clue about in terms of track record.

In other words, you just got done pretty much doing what you accuse others of doing. So, you first. Let us see that resume.

As for me, my background is well-documented. I have never been wronged by "corporate radio." I aspire to that. I was wronged by ULTRA NON-CORPORATE radio. I was, however, an executive at a cable TV network you and your children hold dear.

DFW Radio Fan...you do know that you are in a chat room right? You do realize that the folks in here probably have experience and even if they don't CAN have opinions, right? If you have a point, make it.

The DuMont Network???

Seriously - I read this place fairly often to pick up little tid bits head and there about radio in Dallas and for the most part his "observation" was pretty spot on IMHO. Not that my opinion matters, I am just a listener.

One thing I do not seem to understand is all the hate directed at 105.3?? You rather hear the same top 40 song 5 times in an hour from a voice tracked DJ?

And this place does seem to consists mainly of people who were in radio at one point in time with opinions and that's fair. That what a place like this is for I assume.

But who is on the radio and who isn't?

Not ment to be a dig at anyone but from the outside looking in - while you may not like the content on these shows, hey someone does or they wouldn't be there right? I mean, at some point someone liked the shows that you liked and they were on the air right?

I mean obviously not anymore but still.
