Found Nearby Station For Sale on Craigslist

LET'S EACH PUT IN A COUPLE OF BUCKS AND BUY IT!
We'll just take turns gettin' on the air and griping about corporate radio.
Then, we can earn $$ by letting people pay for time (like "dollar a holler") and let them get on the air and make all the editorial comments they like in their alloted time.
We'll get call letters "WINE!" (WHINE)
"This is AM 79 WINE Radio" and for the next 15 minutes, Jerry will be bitchin' about his mother-in-law! And now...Heeeeeeeeeeerrre's Jerry!"
Whattaya think?
:) !

I think it's WQMS-AM in Quitman, MS.

I once saw WPFD (Fairview, TN) listed for sale in one of those real estate guides like you find at newsstands, restaurant lobbies, and in front of convenience stores. It's off the air now. No big loss there!

That's the one. I imagine it's pretty reasonably priced, don't you?
WHDM-AM in McKenzie sold for $1.00 (plus assumption of all debts!) back around 1996. The $1.00 was reasonable, but the "assumption of all debts" was not. Of course, I say that not knowing how much debt they were carrying at the time. A year or so later, they sold again for $27,000. I figure the building was worth that!
