Four New Shows Coming To VH1

Not surprisingly, all of them appear to be reality shows... The one thing that does surprise me is that only one of these four is brought to you by Cris Abrego, who churns out reality series for VH1 like candy.

Anyway, here's more info on the shows, including a press release:

They're really scraping the bottom of the barrel now, with these shows... "What Chilli Wants"? Is this with Chilli from the group TLC, I presume? Hell, put Chilly Willy the Penguin on the show and, maybe, I'll watch...

Is it difficult to comprehend that the reason they stopped doing videos was because people stopped watching?

Especially if the video is easily available with the click of a mouse.

Just what we need more stupid reality shows, MTV and VH-1 really should change their name.

Exactly. People aren't gonna sit and watch videos for hours at a time. Especially if the video is stupid or for a song they don't care for.

Very true, especially the music todays music which is dominated by Rap that all sounds the same to me, Music when MTV started was better with a more wide range of variety. and yes I also agree" The Internet Killed the Music Video TV Star" hey The Buggles should get back together for that.

Hey, if a new version of "We Are The World" can be recorded after 25 years, why not have The Buggles update their anthem as it approaches its 30th anniversary?

That 30th anniversary has already passed. "Video Killed the Radio Star" was a minor hit in 1979.

I'm not sure that I'd want to compare it to the new "We Are the World." "We Are the World 25" isn't exactly setting the world on fire. It pales in comparison to the original. But I suppose it is still raising money for Haiti earthquake relief, since everyone involved with the recording donated their time to it.
