Four part question, Multiple choice.

Oh yeah. I must be thinking of the year before...or was it last year inwhich jbr flipped at midnight, and b101's PD made the decision to flip via a phone call at the mall around 8:00-9:00AM in response.

I had forgotten about that. Yes, I think that was the previous year. When the PD was holiday shopping at the mall and someone called and was like, "Uh, boss. 'JBR just went all-Christmas." That caught them off guard because WJBR hadn't even done an extended Christmas format before, right?

Yes, I do recall it was 2006 when this went down. I believe it was no sooner than 10:30 that B abruptly flipped to all-Christmas in response to 'JBR.

I remember that morning vividly. My wife and I were on our way to the Franklin Mills Mall early that Saturday morning and scanned the dial. Much to my surprise, 99.5 flipped to Christmas (and yes, for the first time 24/7). About 10:30 as stated previously, we put on the B and after a non-holiday tune, Juan Varleta said out of the blue "Merry Christmas," almost with a chuckle in his voice, and played the Xmas tunes. I thought it was pretty funny!

Ok, I think I remember everything. 2006, sunny was gone and everyone was waiting for b101 to flip. However they wern't. It was getting later and later, and still no flip. Some on the board even worried that there would nomore then the old 36 hours of Christmas. Then jbr flipped, and b101 followed suit.

2007 came along, and while b101 didn't flip as early as the days of the Christmas wars with Sunny, they did flip earlier then 2006, and as mentioned annouced the flip was coming (from which some here speculated was b's way of telling other stations...like ogl and jbr that we're ready.

Anyway, this the topic here turned on this subject because I said before in the first reply that "Keep inmind they (b101) did it (went all x-mas) a little sooner last year because of jbr."

Now that everything is clear I think that statement has been backed up.
