Fox 10 AZ AM

I know that we have a lot of Fox 10 Morning show fans on this board. Can someone tell me if they do weather on a regular schedule at all?

For example, I generally watch GMAZ and weather tends to be updated briefly on the half-hour and then a full forecast at about :15 and :45. Does Fox 10 have a schedule or do you just watch until they choose to do the weather at a random time each half-hour?

I've been a regular watcher of Fox 10 Arizona Morning for a couple of years now and have not noticed a regular weather segment. They do an update at least once per half hour though so you don't have to wait very long. Rick D'Amico usually does the long version (U.S. weather map) and the five/ten-day version seems to be presented by whomever is co-hosting that day (or Rick) - sometimes on and sometimes off-camera.

Thanks, landtuna, just checking! Of course, weather in Phoenix only really matters about 10 days per year. We're having 4 of them right now! :D

Rick does weather? What about Cory?

Cory is in the studio early and then heads out to his remote location. While he is enroute, Rick (who did weather when he started in PHX many years ago) handles the weather updates.

Fox Saturday evening news

Not a Fox AM question but did anybody watch this past Sunday early evening newscast? While checking the local channels for news I came across 10 and heard Linda Williams doing a story with another person (not on camera) adding in a "Yes" or "Un hah".
Then they went to weather and it was Kristen Keogh standing in front of the screen and pointing to everything in sight as she rambled on with the weather. Seemed very sloppy including one graphic that showed the overnight (Sun/Mon) to be 39 (while everyone else had it as 29).

Yes, I did see that. Kristen was subbing for Marc Martinez all weekend. On Sunday, Kristen also did the weather -- subbing for Kristy. Honestly, it was not the least bit professional. Channel 10 needs to bite the bullet and have a reporter who can fill in professionally on weather.

Cory will sometimes read the weather from his morning show remote location and he does do the weatherboard very early in the show before Rick arrives (the show begins at 4:30 and Rick arrives about 6 is my understanding).

Cory also does the noon weather as part of the noon news.
