Fox 10 Expands Weekend Morning Newscasts

tvspy.com is reporting that Fox 10 will expand its Saturday Morning newscast to three hours (6am to 9am) and introduce a new three-hour Sunday Morning newscast (6am to 9am), starting April 26th. Ty and Kristen will anchor both newscasts. The weekend morning race is heating up!

So, if my math is correct, Fox 10 will regain the crown as having the most hours of news in the Phoenix market with this weekend morning expansion. How will 3 TV respond? Will they expand weekend GMAZ to 4 hours and, perhpas, their weekend evening newscasts to compete? I wonder if Fox 10 is going to hire a meteorologist for the weekend morning newscasts.

I'll have to write down that Faux 10 is reportedly doing something
resembling news again. This from the station that couldn't manage
to report the tragic loss of 19 Prescott Firefighters accurately.
As they say, It's QUALITY, not quantity that counts!

I remember you mentioning that (I don't watch Fox 10 very much). Honestly, it was very disappointing given how thoroughly the other stations were covering the tragedy.

Here we go again! For the last time Fox 10 did not overdo it like all the other copycat stations. I mean even if someone took a leak on the side of the road in Prescott the other idiot channels had to cover the blessed event 15 times in one day. Also, get your facts straight. All the firefighters were not from Prescott! They may have been working on the Prescott area fire but several of them came from and had families elsewhere. One other tidbit because you dimwits obviously have not been keeping up on current events. Channel 3 will not be expanding any time soon. Why? Because in about two years or so (once all the paperwork is finalized) they will not exist.

Try telling that to their HR. Improbably they've been hiring at channel 3 despite the 3/5 consolidation looming. KASW is giving channel 3's news department a stay of execution because it is the JSA for KASW (a JSA that is now impossible) that has held up this deal.
