Fox 29 Streaming Live Shots

I saw a little of Good Day this morning and noticed that for the live shot showing the storm damage in New Jersey it was a streaming feed. I have to say it looked like crap and I wasn't even watching in HD. I could only imagine how bad it looked to HD viewers. I understand how streaming live shots could come in handy in breaking news when you might need a quick signal, but it seemed like this wasn't one of those occasions. So for people that are more frequent viewers does Fox use streaming live shots often and do they always look horrible?

Good Day LA sometimes has those low-quality streaming shots, even when there is no breaking news. Only times there is no streaming shots at all is when they go back to studio or traffic reports/Skyfox coverage. What is up with Fox? Too lazy?

Seems to be a cheap trend popping up in Philly. CBS 3's Jim Donovan has used skype a few times during on locations reports. Tim Furlong at nbc10 has done it too. Ch6 is the only one I havn't seen do it yet. I guess the feeling is because neither are reporting on serious things, they can send them out alone to save some costs.
