A WTXF-TV 29 chopper caught video of Philadelphia police officers kicking and stomping 3 men that were involved in a triple shooting after a car chase last night in Philadelphia. For more info and to see video of the end of the car chase and the incident that happened afterwards: http://www.myfoxphilly.com/myfox/ Do you think that the Philly cops went over the edge here because of what happened to one of their own on Saturday morning?

No. The 3 were involved in a triple shooting, a car chase then resisted arrest, with the adrenalin rush and the memory of Saturday’s incident in the minds of the officers what did they think would happen? A warm reception with handshakes and gifts? The article is ridiculous in making the 3 out as victims for pity when they are criminals. If the 3 were at home, since they were young, with their families instead of committing crimes then they & their mothers would not have to deal with this.

Why is it that Fox Philly is spending more air time hammering the "kicking and stomping" than they are about the "shooting, fleeing, and resisting"? Last time I looked those things were illegal. I guess that doesn't matter much anymore.

Maybe you oughta look up the word 'suspect'.

Are they the right guys? What if the cops made a mistake? Would you like to be treated in this manner if you were suspected of committing a crime?

Did they resist? They pulled over. Did they even get a chance to show credentials?

Now the cops will be defendants. This is inexcusable

Right Guys?...YES, Cops made a mistake?....NO, Did they resist?....YES Chance to show credentials? WHY? To give time for the know 'right' guys, where the cops made no 'mistake', due to a then car chase where they then 'resisted', pull out a weapon or a fire arm, if one existed, since they were fleeing a triple shooting?? and after what happen over the weekend?? What would you have done given the situation? Now there are 15 less cops on the streets pending an investigation into this in a city where violence is near an all time high. Did you read the news articles or hear this on the news?

Why, yes I did:

From http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,354308,00.html

"We want to look at the video. And I think it's important to remember that these individuals had been observed involved at a triple shooting at the time," Ramsey said. "There is also a lot of heightened emotions since Sgt. Liczbinski was murdered on the streets just Saturday."

~

Perrine said that if the police account of events was correct, his clients would have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Instead, he said police told him that all three would be charged with aggravated assault, a charge he said was intended to justify the officers' acts.

"Look at that video and try to determine if these guys even had a chance," Perrine said.

Read carefully-it says 'involved at'. What does that mean? There is a difference between 'in' and 'at'.
What questions does that leave open?

Excerpt of article posted on www.myfoxphilly.com from tonight:
Philadelphia police commissioner Charles Ramsey says six police officers (one sergeant and 5 officers) were identified on the videotape and are on desk duty after Monday's videotaped beating of three suspects. The officers and others may face criminal charges in the case. Ramsey said he expected that more officers would be put on desk duty as they become identified from the tape provided to police by Fox 29.
