Laura Nachman says news director Metlin's wife stayed in Tampa and flew back down there on weekends. Doesn't seem like DC gets him much closer to home. The Washington Post says he has worked in DC before, at WTTG and two other jobs. He was only in Philly for six months.
Curious about John Ogden. I don't see WCAU that regularly but it seems like they have other people in there doing traffic on holidays and weekends. They seem to have had a lot of turnover in traffic people; maybe he's gotten antsy. Ogden is good on camera and handles himself well but the traffic reports seem to put more emphasis on graphics than content. The reports are brief, and when traffic picks up they seem to get briefer, and they seem to leave out a good deal in order to get back to the studio chit-chat.
