Fox 40 WDBD to start news operation in May

Have you noticed...WDBD has (IMHO) the best color saturation in the market on both SD and HD.

Yes I've noticed. As for the other stations especially WLBT, their picture literally goes to pot, (has a greenish tint and looks out of focus) when they switch away from the network and goes local. WLBT also has a bad habit of forgetting to switch back to high definition when they come back from a local commercial. I've seen them run half or sometimes an entire show before they realize they are showing the crappy 4:3 feed. I paid a lot of money for my HDTV and dang it, I want to see something in high definition. I wish everyone would hurry up and go all widescreen. Even the reality and game shows. They also switch off the high definiton in order to put their screen clutter and weather bugs on the screen.

Well, those knuckleheads at WLBT did it again! Halfway through the 9PM hour they went to a local commercial and forgot to return to the high definition feed. I didn't buy a plasma TV just to watch a lousy lo-def picture. Watching anything on WLBT in high def after 9pm is a becoming a joke. I"ve even emailed them about it but they keep doing it. Maybe I'm the only on watching in HD. You'd think that at least just one person that works at WLBT watches their own station?

yeah...it's "master control" not "mission control". Attention to detail and actually caring about your job is reserved for those in a little higher pay grade. ;D
