FOX 5 6 p.m. news

Apparently Fox 5 is upping the ante with their apparent launch of a 6 p.m. hour long newscast on Monday, going head-to-head with KUSI, and the 1/2 hour newscasts on the other stations here in San Diego.

After a year, their on air product has REALLY improved...

It will be interesting what the next move is going to be with the rumors in that a station in the market is about to deep six their entire news department....
 
If channel 6 does dump their entire news department (and, after they 86'ed sports entirely, I could see it happening), I'd be curious to see how many of those former 6'ers land on channel 5. Considering FOX 5's promos for Kathleen Bade and Chrissy Russo ("sexier in HD!"), you've got to wonder if they'd jump all over Heather Myers (no pun intended) to replace Kan'tfinishasentence Gibson.
 
Of course, I just learned of a job opening at CW6 News...soooooo.....

I guess it is a "wait and see" kind of thing....
