Fox 5 adds weekend morning news

Starting this weekend...Saturday's 7-9AM and Sunday's 6-8:30 AM. (Under the name Fox 5 Weekend Morning News).

They are obviously trying to compete with WSB and WXIA, which has done weekend news for years. I wonder why WAGA waited to jump onto the bandwagon.

Also...since "Good Day Atlanta" is so popular, wouldn't they be better off trying to extend that format instead to compete with the expanding network shows? (WSB will win anyway regardless).
