Fox 5 Update

The other Fox O&O's already on the new logo, WNYW/New York, WTVT/Tampa, and WHBQ/Memphis, have the exact same logo, only the channel number and city (or callsign in WHBQ's case) are different. Fox really went on the cheap for this one.
I think that the "hands-off" approach that News Corp. has had with WAGA will be gone soon, now that Fox News Channel chief Roger Ailes is in charge. When the new look is launched in the fall, expect shodification in WAGA's news product, including lack of breaking news coverage when it matters (severe weather) and political bias (to the right). Also, expect to see the use of CNN reports come to an end.
If longtime news director Bud McEntee and GM Gene McHugh are gone by the fall, you will know why. If anchors and other people leave, you will know why.

Don't a majority of Fox stations (both O&O and not) have similar logos, with only a slightly different font for the channel?

Other than that, I think Fox5 has one of the best newscasts in Atlanta. Amanda Davis and Russ Spencer work well together and are both very proffesional. Ken Cook has years and experience and provideds a good forecast, whithout resorting to the sky is falling approach that some of the other stations do. I'm not a big Ken Rodriges fan, I becames accustomed to Jeff Hullinger. They do very well in the breaking news dept in the evening, having the SkyFox5 chopper in the air bringing breaking news as it happens.

WAGA staff cuts already happening
Their creative director Todd Greve was laid off recently, b/c FNC is now going to provide the grpahical look. I see that Neil Cavuto from FNC is now doing business reports for WAGA in the last quarter-hour. Nothing wrong with that on its surface, but viewers will vote with their clickers if they feel like they're watching a network clearinghouse on the local news.

Well, I know for one if the news product does get Fox-ified over at WAGA their news is going to be trash.
