FOX 61 adds 4PM Newscast

As of yesterday FOX 61 has added a 4PM Newscast. It is anchored by Brent Harding (sp?) who anchors the 10PM cast. Rachael Lutzker is also there too, but not as an anchor. So now FOX 61 has news at the following times weekdays:

430AM-9AM
11AM-1130AM
4PM-5PM
10PM-11PM
11PM-1130PM

Saturdays only feature a 10PM cast and Sundays features only a 10PM and 11PM cast.

Tribune is throwing their money away.

They're not even calling it Tribune any more. They're calling it CT-1 Media. That's what it says at the end of their newscasts. It has the big CT-1 Media Logo and underneath Copyright 2010.

Apparently they're also doing business as CT-1 Media as well because a friend of mine does business with FOX 61 and WCCT-TV and she got something in the mail a couple weeks ago and it had the CT-1 Media Logo on the envelope and on the letter head.

Lots of station groups have sub-licensees for their stations. There's a KVOA Communications (subsidiary of Cordillera) that also is the licensee for stations such as KRIS; sister station KOAA is listed as under Sangre de Cristo Communications. KTBC is still technically a "NW [New World] Communications of Austin, Inc." station.

And of course, there's "Fox Television Stations" for the Fox O&O's...

In the 80s I was a part-timer at WICC (AM) in Bridgeport, CT when it was owned by Tribune, and the station was under the WPIX, Inc. umbrella with WPIX (TV) and WPIX-FM.
