FOX 61 Morning Show now Simulcast on CW20

Like the FOX 61 News at 10, the FOX 61 Morning Show is now being simulcast on CW 20. The Hartford Courant CareerBuilder.COM Job Search Program moves to 8AM and Degrassi moves to 830AM. Although I don't agree with the simulcast anything that means less Infomercials is a good thing.

Even more reason to wish that WTXX-TV/DT was able to stand out on their own. That station has no identity on its own ever since Tribune started running it.

Makes no sense since both stations cover the exact same area with statewide cable coverage.

20 is a complete waste of a TV channel. Wasn't Tribune required to sell one of its properties?

WTXX used to be great when they had UCONN but gave it away to WCTX.

No it does not.

It doesn't make sense to me to show the same thing at the same time on two stations that serve the exact same area. No sense at all. If anyone can enlighten us as to what management was thinking - that would make for some fascinating reading. :

Do WTIC-DT and WTXX-DT broadcast from the same tower on Rattlesnake Mountain?

The WTIC tower is home to WTIC-TV/DT, WTXX-DT, WEDH-TV and WRCH-FM. The other big tower there is home to WVIT-TV/DT.

No it does not.

It costs nothing to carry the same programming twice and when people channel surf they have two opportunities to stop on the programs instead of one.
