FOX 61 Unprepared for their newscast?

Was FOX 61 unprepared for their newscast? I was expecting them to start their news as soon as FOX concluded its coverage of the All-Star Game. Instead of the news FOX 61 ran a promo for a Beautiful Baby Contest they're co-sponsoring with the Courant, and then ran a 1 1/2 minute promo for 2 1/2 Men, a 1 minute promo for Family Guy, and started another 1 1/2 Minute Promo for 2 1/2 Men before cutting it off and starting the news at 12:20AM.

Their news product has gone so far downhill, I wouldn't be suprised if the promos were the news! ::)

As opposed to the Fox affiliates' newscasts airing immediately after "American Idol" - in which case, the news acts as the promo... :D

Interesting, considering when most sister news operations (like a FOX CT News/WTIC-TV merging with the Hartford Courant ) usually result in a more "newsworthy" product, but in this case it's gotten worse??? That's not a good sign at all...

Seems better lately, I think they worked out their problems.

I agree especially with their pre-emptions of programming to cover press conferences in regards to the shooting. Pre-empting Family Feud a couple times (Which also rolled over to the first 10 minutes of 5th Grader) and pre-empting The Doctors for a live 4PM Newscast.
