FOX 61's New Schedule Effective 3/3/08

Roseanne before the new FOX 61 Morning Show, couldn't FOX 61 put a better show in that place? Not sure what shows FOX 61 can air, but theirs better.

Marc, you probably know this, but if not, this is the weekday schedule of FOX5 in NYC:

4-5 a.m. - "Morning Show with M&J" (from the previous day)
5-9 a.m. - "Good Day New York"
9-10 a.m. - "Morning Show with M&J" (new)

Maybe FOX61 could do something like this for the Fall. It doesn't make much sense the FOX network's own "Morning Show with M&J" is on WCTX-MyTV(5)9. I know FOX is the parent company of MyTV, but having FOX's "Morning Show with M&J" on FOX61 would better complement the new "FOX61 Morning Show."

And I wouldn't be surprised if FOX61 expands the hours of their new morning show for the Fall if it's successful enought. Personally, I think it'll be a success, they put together a great team, and I for one am tired of the same-old stuff on morning television in Connecticut!

(And poor WTXX - that was a really great station years ago. Although I'm glad it picked up affiliations with UPN, then the WB, and now CW. We almost lost it to all HSN shopping in the 90s!)

That "Shepherd's Chapel" show used to air at 5 am before the Fox 61 Morning Show! I agree, they are better off expanding it to 5 am... Or 4:55 am, which is the start time WNYW/5 promotes in some ads...

I'm sure this schedule is temperary and will hold until Fall at best. That's when many changes can take place. They used what they had. I think Tyra was a bad choice for after the news. I wish the newscast ran until 9AM. 6AM is a bad hour to compete with having three other stations on as well. 7-9AM would suit it perfect.

As for WTXX, it's a shame to leave the entire morning for infomercials. They can put anything there. Same goes for WSBK in Boston (although they remind me of a cable network now and they have a good schedule). They had The Daily Buzz but that went with their ex morning show. That would fill the gap well on WTXX. WCTX too. All these local channels without a national morning show just gave up. I remember in the 90s, they showed cartoons and sitcoms. Some people don't subscribe to cable. I'm sure they can fill up these channels. The good thing about locals is that they always show the credits on shows and don't usually have many pop-up ads. Less is more!
