Fox 9 has increased their RF power

Why are they still on VHF? Just increasing the power didn’t make any difference. They need to be on UHF. KARE’s reception improved significantly after moving to channel 31. Are the Fox engineers so fecterated they didn’t see that as a solution? Their new weather channel on 9.7 must be on WFTC, it’s actually viewable.
 
That tiny power increase won't make any difference.
What may make a difference would be if they changed the location/type of their antenna either on the same tower or to a different location.
 
From 30KW to 36.2KW.
But the reception from my house has gotten worse.
"Oh look we 'improved' our signal, but actually we just spited you again". You should be able to easily recieve WFCS (RF29), but it doesn't have any of the extras. The FCC put artificially low power limits on VHF, most of us don't have the correct length of antenna, and VHF is noisy anyways. I have to agree with @aspric , VHF is not a digital game. Analog obviously worked great on it, and one day ATSC 3.0 will work wonders for that band, but for now, Channel 9 is giving viewers the bird.

I'm betting that one of a few possibilities are
1. Available channel
2. Cost of changing antenna and changes to the transmitter, if not a complete replacement of the unit.

The main problem is common TV antennas don't cover the VHF signal.

It is the same antenna in the same location, placement etc.
The signal was able to get into the 70s-80 on my TVs signal meter before the power change, now it's mostly in the 20-40s.
