Fox Affiliates that had the same owners throughout its affiliation

Given that Fox has been around for 25 years, I'm sure there are owners that has retained ownership of the same station before the network came onto the TV scene.

We all know about NYC, LA, Chicago, DC and Houston being owned by the network continuously, so here are some at the top of my head that never changed owners:
KTVU San Francisco - Cox
WCCB Charlotte - Bahakel
KVVU Las Vegas - Meredith

What Fox affiliate was the last to add local news?

There are a handful that still don't do local news, most notably WUTV in Buffalo, which makes much more money selling ad time in Canada at 10 than it could ever make doing local news for western New York in that slot.

Back to the original question, WICZ in Binghamton NY has been in the hands of Stainless Broadcasting since it flipped to Fox in the 1990s. Cox has owned KRXI in Reno since it signed on with Fox. Ditto for Sinclair and WBFF Baltimore.

Sinclair has a lot of Big 4 stations without local news.

But Sinclair's ABC affiliate in the Mobile-Pensacola market has the highest ratings of any newscast around. Strange but true.

WSJV has been a Fox affiliate since 1995, but Quincy Newspapers has owned the station since 1974, since they have no newspapers in the South Bend market, & Truth Publishing Company wasn't given grandfathered status like Schurz was with the South Bend Tribune, WSBT-TV & AM & WNSN.

Their Greensboro, NC station didn't until they added "News 14" news recently (though it used to). "News 14" is a cable-only operation--or was.

This brings up an addition to the list. The station I mentioned was the Fox affiliate until WGHP was purchased in 1995 by someone who switched them from ABC to Fox. I think WGHP still has the same owner.

KVRR Fargo, ND
KBRR Grand Forks, ND
KNRR Pembina, ND
KJRR Jamestown, ND

All 4 owned by Red River Broadcasting and other than KVRR which was Indy before they have been affiliated with Fox at or near sign on (86-87)

WGHP was one of the stations that flipped to Fox in the New World deal, and subsequently became a Fox O&O. However, it's also one of the stations that Fox/News Corp. sold off to Local TV several years ago.

Commercials for Bing explain why I sometimes don't take te time to look these things up before I post. Although I nearly always have a Wikipedia page open for convenience.

WXLV tried and failed twice with its own local newscasts. News 14
Carolina is produced by and for Time Warner Cable and is localized
for different areas (Raleigh/Durham, Greensboro/Winston-Salem/High
Point, etc.), especially the weather segments. It appears on Channel
14 wherever Time Warner Cable is available in these parts.

Bing Commericals do Show up on Fox as part of the Windows 8 plug during Fox Sports Events like the World Series.

WSVN, Channel 7 Miami has been under the same ownership since it became a FOX affiliate, Sunbeam Corporation.

But, FOX was on WCIX 6 (now WTVJ) for 3 years prior to WSVN's getting it. I think that was the intention of the thread.

Do these commercials explain how doing a search gets you distracted?

WCOV in Montgomery.

They were one of the first to sign on with this network, back in 1986.

This TV station is still owned by David Woods.

He's been with them, since the 1980s.

Sorry, I was very young back then and remember 6 being independent only. Even now, WSVN only shows FOX's primetime and sports lineups with Syndication and Local News during the day.
