Fox&F used to flash, in the lower r. corner, scores from the previous night's MLB, NFL, NHL, and NBA contests, even in the preseasons. It was just the scores (no highlighting of the winner, no statement whether the game went into xinn/ot). This saved one (internet customer or not) having to wade through the ESPNs' tickers' seas of superfluous game info waiting to find out the scores one was interested in.
Now Fox&F just shows the previous day's Wall St. stats in the corner.
C'mon, Rupert, how many pennies did you just save by dropping that relatively cheap sports ticker? Or did a "consultant" recommend dropping it?
