Fox and PTC attornies cuss on C-SPAN

If you missed "The Communicators" on C-SPAN Saturday, you missed out on hearing both the attorney for Fox and the attorney for the Parents Television Council using the F- word on the air...and C-SPAN didn't bleep it out! The debate was over the case headed to the Supreme Court over the constitutionality of the ban use of obsencities on broadcast television.

It will re-air on C-SPAN2 at 8 AM Monday (3/24). If you love irony (or attorneys for media outlets and religious groups cussing), you might want to check it out.

Once again, for those of you who continue to get 'excited' when you hear f-bombs on cable -- IT IS CABLE!!!! It is not regulated by the FCC like the broadcast networks!!!!

How many times do we have to go over this? ::)

Do people melt or something when they hear the F-word? (I really hate to say "F-word" but I know the filters will get me if I write ****). It's just a word and cable isn't regulated by the ridiculous FCC.

Yes, but the caveat with C-SPAN is that it's a non-profit network, like PBS, which means they can't legally be responsible for such words.

This is a banner month for the network in terms of free speech - just last week, a comedian dropped a handful of dirty words at a talk radio panel being televised by C-SPAN - and this wasn't her first cuss-filled rodeo on C-SPAN, either!
