Fox Baseball Analyst Tim McCarver To Retire

Moreover, I make no judgment on Mr. McCarver's ability to analyze baseball. Its about the audience growing tired of the same analysis after many years.

You say you aren't making a judgement on McCarver. But in your vapid, inane comments, you in fact are.

And how do you know the audience is growing tired of the "same analysis"? If you've done viewer surveys beyond what's been written by clueless sports media bloggers and other couch potatoes, bring it here. No, better yet, send it to the Fox and MLB suits. As a fan I can care less who is behind the microphone for a national telecast, I watch to see the game. The average (non-fan) viewer doesn't care either.

Sorry, but your arguments have no weight. Next time bring something meaty to the table before you sit down for dinner.

If the audience was growing tired of the same old analysis after many years, they would be gone. I'm certainly no fan of Tim McCarver as a broadcaster (but I was as a player), but the fact remains that he has been gainfully employed as a baseball announcer for over 30 years.

God bless him in retirement......but I feel the same about him as I felt about the "comet tail" that FOX used to apply to fly balls.......

McCarver probably isn't helped by sitting next to Joe Buck, who may be the least liked baseball announcer in the TV era. Seriously, its hard to find anyone who has a better opinion of him than microwaved oatmeal.
I eat microwaved oatmeal ;D

Cheers & 73 ;D
