FOX CANCELS "RUNNING WILDE" & "THE GOOD GUYS"

Not sure what "The Good Guys" was, as I never had a notion to watch it.
But "Running Wilde" seemed to have been created by aliens from Pluto.
I think a bunch of 8th graders could have written a better "Running Wilde."

I'd sure like to know what Fox was smoking on the day that show was given
the green light.

Same thing the networks were smoking when they okayed most every other program ever that didn't last forever.
At least since Gunsmoke. And maybe Law & Order, which is actually still continuing in some forms to this day.

A Dallas-based show about a couple of offbeat detectives. Between the summer replacement eps and this season, the Guys might have had enough in the can for a DVD set. It had a fairly good showing in the DFW market, but I think it just limped along everywhere else. One of the actors was Tom Hanks' son, Colin.

I think it was a show based on the Chucky doll from the "Child's Play" movies... wait, it wasn't? Maybe it would have got better ratings if it did...

Dude when we had Dish, they were running Child's Play and/or Child's Play 2 marathons every weekend on MTV2. :where's the vomit icon:

It was a very good show. At least entertaining. There aren't that many hour-long comedy cop shows. Colin Hanks' partner, despite having been on "The West Wing", was a veteran detective who believed he could get away with anything and that the rules didn't apply to him. Hence after 20 plus years with the department, getting assigned to minor crimes. And with his reckless behavior, any real cop would have been canned. Fortunatley for him, the crimes we saw him investigate turned out to be major.
