FOX Cancels Terra Nova

According to an article on CNN's website, FOX network executives have pulled the plug on renewing Terra Nova for a second season.

Personally I liked the show, and the article stated that of all the canceled series, Terra Nova had the highest ratings.

So we can expect Terra Nova will be replaced with either another reality show or similar crap. :mad:
 
This is sad.

I saw it described as a family show. Well, Fox didn't help to make that case by giving it a TV-14 every week. I almsot didn't watch thinking it would be more violent and evil. It wasn't.
 
One source (don't remember which) stated that the producers would shop the show to other networks, as overseas distribution has been positive. So Terra Nova might not be dead yet.
 
Yes, I believe that was tvnewscheck.com. At least that's where I found the article about 'Terra Nova'. Here's an idea: Let My Network TV have it. That way, it stays on local TV AND MyNet has new programming...
 
My guess is that it has not been a bomb, but with higher-than-average production costs
it would need to be a boffo-smash to keep Fox execs in the game.
 
I had a feeling because it was on Fox that would be most likely be canceled. I only saw a couple of clips and while it's not my cup of tea, I didn't hate the show. Oh well, that's Fox for you.

Syndication sounds better. Let station groups or local stations pick up the series.
 
Too bad. I thought it was a good show and will miss it.

Something tells me if Terra Nova started on TNT, FX or AMC the critics would've loved it and would've got a second season.
 
I never watched the show, but I bet the DVD/Blu ray set will still sell well in stores.
