FOX Freezes

Lately, especially during football games, the picture freezes on FOX broadcasts and sometimes does that "checkerboard" effect (I'm sure that's not the correct technical term). The other night I was calling the TV every name in the book. For about two or three minutes it just went off. My question is, whose fault is this? I have Charter Cable, it's on channel 25 on the FOX network. Who's to blame.

The problem is possibly a weak signal reaching your TV. You might have too many splitters in your house, or the cable company might not be delivering a strong enough signal to the house.

Why does it only affect FOX? I haven't seen it on any other channels.

I had a problem with NESN, WFXT and WHDH, mostly. I cleared it up by making sure the fewest number of splitters were in the line that feeds our main TV.

With one cable line feeding a cable modem, multiple TVs and other devices, the signal can get degraded by the time it reaches your set. I don't know why certain channels are affected more than others.

I've noticed Comcast Sports Net HD freezes after Celtics games on Verizon. Does this happen on other cable systems?
