Fox gets rid of credit previews

Has anyone noticed that Fox has abandoned the practice of showing the retyped end credits at the bottom while showing previews...and is now showing the original credits intact and in their entirety.

I remember when NBC and CBS introduced these in the early 90's. (In 1993 or so, I remember seeing WAGA/Atlanta previewing their 11 PM news when they were still a CBS station). I don't think ABC and Fox started doing so until about 1999 or 2000. Now, it is now a standard for all major broadcast network programming.

Now let's get rid of the bug shown during programming (although on my HDTV, the station bug replaces the network bug)

I think that's the norm for Fox affiliates -- their HD feed is without a network bug (with few exceptions, such as the live "American Idol" shows), leaving it up to the stations to bug it themselves with their own logo. I don't know the rationale behind that, as the other networks use network bugs on their HD feeds.

Hooray for Faux!!!!

Wait.....who watches Faux??? ::)

Fox is a major player. I salute them for some of the big risks they take.
Moment of truth was a great game. Anyone who thought otherwise...must have something to hide! :D ;)

Re: Fox brings back credit previews

Bad news...it was too good to be true. Should have known since this is Murdoch's outfit.

Credit previews were back last night during Sunday primetime (if they were even gone at all). Must have been some sort of experiment to see if Fox could do without promoting itself for 30 seconds.

Should have known since this is Murdoch's outfit. I think they are playing a game.

What show did you originally see this? Many times "The Simpsons" credits are shown in their entirety. But other than that -- with the exception of some special content over the credits from the show's producers -- the credits share the screen with promos.

I have to disagree on the many times Simpsons credits are shown in their entirety. Sure on special content it gets full screen, but most of the time it's split screen. Usually their often annoying split screen promotion consists of American Idol, House, Bones, or some other show that's already cancel by now. I rarely see ads for the shows coming up, since Fox covers that in their in-show pop ups.

Your opinion does not negate the facts.
